Development is underway for the newest lifestyle resort in the Myrtle Beach area, located in the former Bay Tree Golf Plantation that closed several years ago. The site for this 530-acre Master-planned community sits between Highway 9 and Highway 17 in Little River, and will have an entrance on both highways.
Plans are to include single family homes, villas, and townhomes with many different price-points from luxury to starter home. Planned amenities include a pool and clubhouse, fitness center, sports areas, fitness trails, and several large lakes. The developers state that over half of the homes will have water views and will almost be totally surrounded by water. From what we can tell, this will be similar to a Del Webb community.
